The last 10 years of my career was spent as clinical educator at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Hospital- St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Tx. As NRPD I wrote the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) application to achieve program accreditation twice. The first Accreditation (2017) resulted in CHRISTUS SETX becoming the 17th accredited nurse residency program nationwide. The second accreditation (2019) resulted in dual accreditation: Accreditation with Distinction and Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Program (IRAP). I am currently a certified instructor to teach the following AHA courses: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Acute Life Support.
I joined the CLRC as the BCS Site Manager on August 16, 2022. I am a member of the Society of Simulation in Healthcare and Simulation Professionals of Texas. Additionally, I am a certified Stop the Bleed instructor. My future goals as Site Manager are to assist all service lines with achieving their objectives and meeting outcomes, passing the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator exam, and possibly returning to school for a second Master’s degree.
